2025 Round 1 - Symmons Plains March 21-23 Round Up

Even though we didn't have a huge field. the Australian Prototypes produced some incredible battles amongst our front runners.

Race 1 saw Jason Makris (Wolf Extreme F1) lead home Phil Hughes (Radical SR8) by less than a second, with Aaron Steer (Wolf Thunder) in third. John-Paul Drake, debuted his Wolf Extreme F1 in Race 1, but had an off that saw him park the new car and take over Aaron's Wolf Thunder for the rest of the weekend. 

In Race 2, Jason Makris and Phil Hughes continued their battle at the front, with Jason being victorious again and John-Paul bringing the Wolf Thunder home in 3rd.

In Race 3, Phil turned the tables on Jason, winning by 1.7 seconds with Mark Laucke (Wolf Tornado S) filling 3rd spot.

Race 4 saw Jason Makris returning to 1st spot, with Phil Hughes and Mark Laucke in 2nd & 3rd.

When the points were added up the Round 1 podium was:
1st - Jason Makris
2nd - Phil Hughes
3rd - Mark Laucke

We wrapped up with our group at Race Tasmania, a massive thanks to all the volunteers & people involved to make this event possible.

Although it was only a small group this round on track, we had a blast and can’t wait for Bathurst next month.
