AUSTRALIAN PROTOTYPE SERIES ANNOUNCES FIVE-ROUND CALENDAR FOR 2026
The Australian Prototype Series (APS) has today confirmed its five-round national calendar for the 2026 season, delivering a strong mix of iconic circuits and premier events, as well as expanded broadcasting and digital coverage.
The new season will kick off in March at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia — the first of two appearances at “The Bend” in 2026 — before heading to Sydney Motorsport Park in May; both events will feature live streaming.
The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit will host round three in August before the highlight of the year in September supporting the first Enduro Cup round of the Repco Supercars Championship at The Bend in September, with TV coverage on FoxSports and Kayo.
The season will then conclude back in South Australia at Mallala Motorsport Park in November, which again will be live streamed as a new champion is crowned.
New CEO, Wayne Williams, said the 2026 calendar reinforces the series’ commitment to competitor value, fan engagement, and category growth.
“This calendar reflects everything the Australian Prototype Series stands for — competitive racing at some of Australia’s best driver circuits, meaningful exposure for teams and partners, and a clear focus on sustainability and growth,” said Williams.
“A lot of work is going into this new season with our revamped team to help cement solid foundations for the long-term viability of the series. With a mix of live TV, live streaming, and enhanced digital content, it will all help build the category’s profile while delivering strong value for the competitors.”
