2025 Round 2 - Bathurst April 18-20 Round Up

Round 2 of the Australian Prototype Series featured a combined field of seventeen APS and NSW Supersports vehicles, supporting the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6-Hour event.

In Race 1 on Saturday, John-Paul Drake (Wolf F1 Extreme) and Nick Kelly (Wolf Mistral) finished 1st & 2nd, only separated by 0.6 sec. Neal Muston (Radical SR8), Jason Makris (Wolf F1 Extreme) and Julian Newton (Radical SR10) filled out the top five.

Race 2 saw the top 5 positions stay the same as Race 1. After having an off in Race 1 that put him last and 17th on the Race 2 grid, a highlight of the race was Mark Laucke's (Wolf Tornado S) storming drive through the field to finish 6th. On the way to P1, John-Paul put in a stunning 2.08.3 lap time.

In Race 3 on Sunday Jason Makris had a win with Julian Newton less than 2 seconds back in 2nd and Mark Laucke, 3rd. John-Paul Drake started from pole, but got caught up in some contact that resulted in a puncture and a DNF.

3rd - Mark Laucke
