APS part of huge motorsport fortnight at The Bend

The GC Marine Australian Prototype Series will form part of a huge fortnight of motorsport at The Bend Motorsport Park in October.

Following the cancellation of the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships’ round at Morgan Park, The Bend will now host an extra meeting of Shannons on the weekend after its originally scheduled round of 17-19 October.

The Australian Prototype Series will feature in that first weekend as originally planned and will join the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, Motorsport Australia GT Endurance Championship, National Trans Am Series and the Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and Radical Australia Cup. 

Also taking place during that first weekend will be Motorsport Australia’s FIA Girls On Track program and junior development program, Ricciardo’s Racers, as well as the Kincrome SXS Motorsport Australia Championship.

The Australian Prototype Series will not take part in the new added round the following week, however some competitors will likely run again as the event includes another Radical Australia Cup round alongside other categories such as MRF Tyres Australian Production Car Series, National Sports Sedans Series, Porsche 944 and Bullrush Rally.

Adding to the huge fortnight of motorsport will be the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship’s AGI Sport Adelaide Hills Rally, which will run during the second weekend.
